Samsung Galaxy A8 Review – Long Lasting Juice And Fun To Use

Samsung Galaxy A8 Review – Long Lasting Juice And Fun To Use

Reviews, Samsung
After almost a whole month having the Samsung Galaxy A8 for a full review, I can safely say that this is a fun-to-use phone and a reliable companion to have that won't run out of juice that quick. The first time I get the chance to "play" with the Samsung Galaxy A8 was during an event in Sunway Lagoon having a splashing time with the Galaxy A8. That was a test run and a review on how the A8 performs in wet conditions. I loved it then, I still love it now. Now I have the chance to use and review the Samsung Galaxy A8 for about 3 weeks. Here's my review... Battery that keeps on going The first thing that impressed me so much is, the damn long lasting battery life. I can not deny that I use the phone almost all the time for social apps or communications via WhatsApp. And my usage is qui...
Cheap Ramadhan Buffet at Restoran Nelayan Gombak

Cheap Ramadhan Buffet at Restoran Nelayan Gombak

Dine, Food Review
Malaysians like a few things in life. One is free stuffs, second is cheap stuffs. That we all can't deny because Malaysians are cheap. But when it comes to buffet especially during Ramadhan month, not many restaurants offers cheap dining. How about having some cheap buffet and steamboat (and grill too) at Restoran Nelayan Gombak? Sounds good? Ok then. Restoran Nelayan Gombak offers affordable buffet dining for their customers this Ramadhan month where you can have some local delicacies as well as steamboat and grill. Yes, grill. I was invited to attend their Ramadhan buffet launch a day before fasting begins. We were introduced to some famous local food, some international food and also their steamboat and grill concept. But I was quite disappointed that we didn't get to sample t
ZTE Axon 7 Review – Top Notch Performance

ZTE Axon 7 Review – Top Notch Performance

Reviews, Tech & Gadgets, ZTE
The first time I laid my eyes on the ZTE Axon 7, I was in awe. The Axon 7 is a beautiful all metal curved edge flagship and it feels really solid. It feels really good in my hands, so holding it feels like holding your significant other. Okay, that's a little bit too much but you get my point. I had the Axon 7 for a whole month to test and review. So I had an ample time to push the Axon 7 to its limit. I had heavy graphic games installed (not Pokemon Go) so that I can really know how good the processing power working with the GPU is like. But after all that, the one feature that literally blow me away was the built-in Dolby Atmos sound system paired with dual Hi-Fi front speakers. More about this later. First, let me introduce to you my current favourite flagship Android phone, the Z...
ZTE Blade V7 Max Review – All Maxed Up

ZTE Blade V7 Max Review – All Maxed Up

Reviews, Tech & Gadgets, ZTE
A few months ago I did a review on the new ZTE Blade V7 Lite, which I think is a cheap smartphone that is good for daily use. In fact, I still have the V7 Lite with me which I now use as my secondary phone. It's small and slim, hardly know that it's there in my pocket when I go out. Now, the bigger brother to the V7 Lite is now in my hands for a review. Introducing the ZTE Blade V7 Max. I have been using the Blade V7 Max for about a week. And within that one week, I find that the Blade V7 Max is a breeze to use. The sharp 5.5" FHD IPS screen is a beauty to look at. And the look of the phone is no doubt a head turner. I have people giving me a double take just to see what phone I was holding. Yes, it does have a similar look to the latest iPhone. Hence the double take. Having s...

Food Republic – A Collection Of Local Dishes In One Place

Dine, Food Review
Review at Food Republic, Pavilion KL I was invited and had the honour of sampling some of the local delicacies served at Food Republic, Pavilion KL, recently. I sampled about eight types of dishes from four different food stalls at the Food Republic food court. The idea of this review is to give an idea of what you can have for your break-fast in the coming Ramadhan month or for your meal while working in the heart of KL. And here is my review. Before we start, I would like to say that I'm giving an honest review here. So if any of the stall owners or cooks who are reading my review feel a pinch of hurt, take it as an advice to be better and improve the food quality. Also, I'm reviewing the (apparently) best four food stalls in Food Republic Pavilion KL. Mee Jawa Stall I sampled
Top 5 Smartphones In My List For First Half of 2015

Top 5 Smartphones In My List For First Half of 2015

Tech & Gadgets
Another year, another few selections of smartphones that I would see as a potential device worthy to be a good purchase. Although my list is a simple one, but I have looked through all the specifications and I feel that my top 5 list of smartphones for the first half of 2015 is a good guide for those who are looking to buy a new smartphone. One of the criteria that I look for in a smartphone for 2015 is the ability to support 64-bit systems. That is a major plus point because 64-bit based OS will run faster, more stable and better memory management. Take a look at iPhone 6. With only 1GB of RAM, the phone still runs smoothly without any glitch or lag. The OS is built so well that it uses little memory that caused smooth scrolling. It is also built on a 64-bit system. Another criteria

Preview: Xiaomi RedMi 1S – Basically Exciting

Xiaomi is growing big here in Malaysia. They don't even flinch when OnePlus One is making their way to Malaysia officially next month. Why? Because Xiaomi's fan based community network is huge. They can even managed to sell out their devices in their online store within a matter of seconds. Xiaomi is the new Samsung in Malaysia. One of the ways that they managed to capture the local market is not by having massive marketing and advertisement budget. But instead Xiaomi chose to create a phone with very reliable hardware that goes well with their customized MIUI Android OS. And most importantly, selling it very cheap. Yesterday a friend of mine handed me a brand new Xiaomi RedMi (Hongmi) 1S for me to play with. I know that this phone has been around for quite some time but because it's...

Gphone EVO – An Affordable Octa-core Powerhouse

Android, Gphone, Reviews, Smartphones
Note: This is a delayed review. My computer hard-disk crashed big time and I lost all the photos and screenshots that was taken with this phone. Luckily I have some photos of the review unit taken with my camera for this post. People are not really looking at a dual-core phones nowadays (except me, maybe). Consumers are now mostly looking at a quad-core mobile smartphone for their "basic" need on any Android phones. Why? Because they tend to go for the most optimum specification and future proofing themselves. That is about to change. Many thanks to GWorld Asia who recently had a soft launch of their first, or Malaysia's first Mediatek powered True Octa-core Android phone called the Gphone EVO. I called this a multimedia powerhouse...for reasons that I will explain later. For all I k...

Blog
I know I have not been updating my blog much often. Not that I don't want to either. But my home PC's hard disk decided to stop working and most of my "life" that was stored in the hard disk is gone. It was only about a few days before it happened when I was relaying Twitter messages with one of my friend from Twitter about how bad it is to lose data from the hard disk. He just got himself a Solid State Drive that broke his bank but knowing that his data is safe in the SSD is worth the money spent. SSDs can store data for a very long time, almost forever. No moving parts in it so we know that we won't have any issues with the drive not working, ie: burned out motor or faulty read and write needle, typical problem with a normal HDD. I told him that I should get one too before anything...
Comparison Review: Ninetology U9Z1 vs Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

Comparison Review: Ninetology U9Z1 vs Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

Reviews
Close to a month ago I did a review on a Ninetology phone vs a Samsung phone, and recently I did another review on phones made by the same companies. This time is more like a battle of the giants! Ninetology U9 Z1 is the largest Android smartphone made by Ninetology to-date with 5.7 inch screen. One the other side of the ring is the Samsung Galaxy Mega with it's huge 6.3 inch screen. Both of these phones can be in the phablet category but the Z1 can still considered as a smartphone rather than a phablet. As how I did the last time, I split the usage between the two phones as 3 days each. Both phones are good. The Z1 feels solid and the size is still manageable but the Galaxy Mega is too big for me to handle in one hand. Let's check out the brief specifications for both phones. ...

Phone Comparison Review – Ninetology U9 X1 vs Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Reviews, Tech & Gadgets
Last week, I was given the opportunity to test these two phones - a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and a phone by a local Malaysian company, Ninetology U9 Series X1. The time that was given to me for my evaluation is one week. So I split the usage time between the two phones as 3 days each and 1 day for last minute tests. As the first introduction - about me, I used to blog a lot a few years back and I mostly blog about places, things I do, food I eat and also tech & gadget reviews. Now I'm back into active blogging again. I love gadgets, I love technology and I love to play around with them. So that's why I was given this opportunity to test these two smartphones this week. Second introduction, Ninetology is a smartphone and mobile device company in Malaysia that has been around for...

Pre-Review: Ninetology U9 Series X1 and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Tech & Gadgets
I received a good news today. A representative from a local smartphone brand company contacted me today and asked if I could do a review on their new mobile device for the masses. Ninetology has been around for quite sometime now but they are making a huge wave in providing a cheaper alternative for smartphones. Their earlier devices were using basic specifications in terms of hardware that powers the device, but their latest arsenal packs some strong fire power. So then they gave me 1 week to review one of their latest smartphones against another well known smartphone company, Samsung. My review is going to be an honest review based on my findings and experiences between the two devices. First up, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. And the Ninetology U9 Series X1. Putting the two toge...
