When it comes to festivities celebration, there will always be someone who does a really touching video to make us appreciate what we have and our Malaysian culture. This time around, Samsung came up with their own short Raya video in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration which is just right around the corner.

I have watched many touching videos, some are tear jerking types especially those coming from our Northern neighbouring country like Thailand. But I never realise that I did tear a little bit after watching this short video by Samsung. Maybe it is because it made me reminisce about my past.

And so here is what the video is all about – It is all about appreciating the small things in life, like memories and special moments. Seringgit may be little to most of us, but the memories that came with it is priceless. When you appreciate the small things in life like a specific memory, it will stick with you forever.

Take a look at the said Raya video and you’ll see what I mean…

Every Raya is always a time of coming together with love and forgiveness. The many happy memories have always been in the simpler activities like visiting families, savouring Nenek’s special rending, and collecting seringgit duit raya from Atuk.

This Aidilfitri, Samsung urges us all to look beyond the value of receiving “seringgit” and focus on its significance. One Ringgit doesn’t seem to matter much, but it’s the blessing that counts. The Seringgit film is brought to you with hopes that we rediscover the true spirit of Raya and share this with our younger generation, for it is them that will carry on our traditions in today’s ever-evolving world.
