MPL-MY/SG returns with Season 4 and a total prize pool of RM414,000

Moonton today has announced the fourth season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League for Malaysia and Singapore (MPL-MY/SG). With a total prize pool of RM414,000 (US$100,000), MPL-MY/SG Season 4 returns as the largest and most anticipated mobile esports tournaments in Malaysia. Registration is open to all aspiring teams from 5 to 14 July 2019 on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Facebook page.

The MPL-MY/SG Season 4 Malaysia qualifiers will commence from 19 till 21 July, while the Singapore qualifiers will take place from 27 till 28 July. Two Malaysian and Singaporean teams who top their respective qualifiers will get to enter the Regular Season of the tournament, where they will go up against Moonton’s directly-invited teams in a 6-week round robin battle.

“We have decided to directly invite four (4) top teams from Malaysia and two (2) top teams from Singapore to the Regular Season of MPL-MY/SG Season 4. The Malaysian teams are Geek Fam, Shopee Bosskurr, Reborn and Xpax X-Assins, while EVOS Esports SG and Bigetron SG are your Singaporean invited teams. We are glad to share that as long as 60% of these teams’ rosters remain the same from Season 3, they are eligible to enter the upcoming Regular Season,” said Jayden Wei, Esports Manager of Moonton.

Out of the total prize pool, over RM203,000 in weekly subsidies, win bonuses and performance awards await teams and players who qualify for the Regular Season. The remaining RM211,000 pool will be up for grabs at the Playoffs which is slated for October 2019.

All aspiring teams are encouraged to take part in MPL-MY/SG Season 4. Registration for the qualifiers is happening from now till 14 July 2019 on the MLBB Facebook page. The final day of  each country’s qualifier will be streamed live on Facebook, so fans can tune in on 21 July (Malaysia) and 28 July (Singapore) to catch all the action.
