Yoodo, Malaysia’s first fully customisable and 100% digital mobile service, has once again fortified its position as the go to Telco for gamers.
Yoodo continues its support for esports by sponsoring the ESL Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines National Championship Season 2 for Arena of Valor (AoV) as well as DOTA 2. The ESL National Championship aims to encourage grassroots talent in the region.
Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo, commented on the sponsorship, “We know how passionate our users are about gaming and esports, and hence the reason we are going beyond PUBG MOBILE. We are proud to be expanding our horizons within the segment to continue to build strong support for esports.”
To commemorate this new extension of Yoodo’s foray into esports and to further excite gamers, Yoodo has launched an AoV data add-on that provides users with 20GB of dedicated data for the game at only RM5. This means that gamers can enjoy lag free gaming on Malaysia’s largest 4G LTE network without worrying about going over data limits or dealing with additional charges.
Yoodo Esports – Malaysia’s Newest Gaming Community
Yoodo is taking its gaming credentials to the next level by launching their very own esports and gaming community – Yoodo Esports.
Yoodo Esports aims to become the one-stop centre for gaming and esports fans covering all things related to gaming. The page will focus primarily on mobile gaming, including updates on Yoodo’s esports activities, as well as news and reviews on console and PC gaming.
“Following a series of successful initiatives in the esports scene, we wanted to take our commitment even further. We decided it was time to develop a fun community space especially for Malaysian gamers,” Tuck Mun shared. “Users will be able to catch latest news and updates from the gaming scene in Malaysia. They can also look forward to gaming-focused videos, player’s interviews, and more.”
Rewarding Champions – Free Mobile Plans for PUBG MOBILE National Championship 2019 Winners
Celebrating the end of an exciting 2019 series of the popular Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) MOBILE National Championships (PMNC), Yoodo awarded champions Victorious in Play (ViP Squad) with one-year free mobile plan. This plan will allow all four team members to enjoy gaming on the go with Malaysia’s widest 4G LTE network.
“We’re delighted to reward ViP Squad with a full year of incredible Yoodo mobile service experience. They were stellar during the tournament and I am sure they will enjoy more chicken dinners on their new Yoodo plans,” Tuck Mun added.
Malaysia’s First PUBG MOBILE Campus Championship
All of these exciting updates come off the back of Yoodo’s most recent gaming focused announcement – the launch of PUBG MOBILE Campus Championship (PMCC) 2019, Malaysia’s first inter-campus PUBG MOBILE tournament.
The announcement got gamers in universities across the country buzzing with close to 6,000 students set to participate in the tournament which kicks-off on 24 September. Winners will walk away with a portion of the RM60,000 prize pool, a free one-year mobile plan and a direct invitation to participate in the PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) 2020.
Yoodo First Telco in the World to Have In-Game Jersey
PMCC 2019 also sees another first for Yoodo as it becomes the first Telco in the world to have its very own branded jersey within the PUBG MOBILE game. Now fans can show their love for Yoodo while they hunt for chicken dinners. Details on how gamers can get their hands on this exclusive jersey will be announced soon, so stay tuned.
